NEO Wood Creations
2023 Installation Artists
Sasha Goodnow
I am a self taught artist with over ten years of experience creating art and video installations for film festivals, music festivals, theater, and gallery events. I work primarily in two fields: experimental video and textile artwork. I hand dye fabrics as well as sew and paint together items such as discarded plastics, fabric, wood, and found objects to create my work. I recently went back to school pursuing a degree in Environmental Science and am a board member of Columbia Art League. www.sashagoodnow.com
Kenzie Wells
“Beachcomber’s Dream”
My mixed-media practice speculates the hopeful and hopeless future of our Earth’s landscape as the climate continues to rise. Found objects such as gates and tires are embedded into rock-like masses, adorned with sparkly trinkets, lost doo-das, and gay secret messages. The future of waste is centered in these sculptural narratives, questioning how non-biodegradable materials will eventually merge with the natural world. My work recognizes the earth’s growth and perseverance despite destructive human activity as a celebratory, queer victory.
Philip Gresham
“Space Mothers”
Philip Gresham started creating spray paint stencils and posters as a teenager. Through his time at the Kansas City Art Institute, his graffiti tendencies were reformed to making woodcut and lithographic prints. His work explores the competition of structure and nature which he often sees first-hand in his woodworking shop.
